Myself and group of several other senators are currently working on legislation to support smoker’s rights here at Appalachian. We suffered a set-back when we were notified that ASU no longer owns the ashtrays that were removed last year (We would like to see more ashtrays on campus to reduce litter and improve fire safety). Our initiative is still in its infancy, but we will be circulating a survey to gauge student interest in the subject. Also, a petition is available for those who feel strongly about the subject.
